SCHOOL AND ENTERPRISE PROJECT: JOINFRUIT AND SYNERGIE SCHOOL TRAINING

L’O.P. Joinfruit e Synergie School they are joining forces to facilitate the meeting between the world of education and the world of work in the fruit and vegetable sector: after an initial collaboration with a practical and theoretical course on pruning, aimed at workers, in May a new training activity will take place as part of Work-Study programmes. These are two online training "modules" for students of the IIS Denina – Sede Denina e Pellico Institute.

The scheduled meetings will be held by Director of Joinfruit Bruno Sacchi and by a specialised technician, who will present the company, providing details on its work organisation, corporate culture, contractual rules, target markets and sustainable development. The aim is to bring third, fourth and fifth-year students closer to businesses in the Cuneo area, so as to foster an understanding of the skills required of young people by the world of work.

One of Joinfruit's founding values – comments Bruno Sacchi – it is the valorisation of the people who work with us, to whom we ensure safety, health, well-being and constant support in their professional growth and development. We have accepted the proposal from Synergie School because meeting the young people who will be the workers and entrepreneurs of tomorrow seems an integral part of our mission.

The SYNERGIE SCHOOL training modules, conceived and designed with the logic of Pathways for the Development of Transversal Skills and Work Orientation (PCTO), aim to support students in approaching the world of work and evaluating insertion possibilities through dual apprenticeships and curricular internships during their studies or post-diploma with traineeships, assignments, or direct hiring.

Jolanda Arnolfo – Synergie School Representative for the Cuneo district: “We are very pleased to undertake this type of initiative. Local businesses in the Saluzzo area are requesting newly qualified graduates. All technical profiles, such as surveyors, accountants, and technical experts, are in high demand, particularly agricultural ones. On the other hand, schools need support in establishing contacts with businesses. This area is rich in agricultural businesses and warehouses that also operate internationally and are capable of offering quality job opportunities and career paths, starting with internships and apprenticeships. Furthermore, in collaboration with Joinfruit, we are keen to launch a specific post-diploma course on fruit warehouse logistics or warehouse accounting, so as to provide businesses in the area with well-rounded professionals.

He adds the Professor Flavio Girodengo, President of the Denina Institute: “Activities to guide students upon leaving secondary school are fundamental: the aim is to give young people some extra tools to evaluate job offers, to compare them with their own potential and ambitions, in short, to find the path most suited to them and, we hope, a fulfilling one. Our sincere thanks to those who have offered these tools to our students..”
