The code of ethics is the document that presents the values and rules of conduct to which our O.P. refers in the exercise of its business activity.
It establishes the socio-ethical responsibilities of “stakeholders” (Corporate Bodies, Shareholders, Employees, Collaborators, Consultants, Suppliers, Customers, Public Administration, etc.) towards the O.P. and vice versa, in terms of both general principles and expected conduct. The Code of Ethics, irrespective of binding legislation, has binding value as an internal regulation, and non-compliance shall be subject to disciplinary sanctions as provided.
The conduct of the O.P. and its staff is inspired, in all external and internal dealings, by a general principle of fairness which is specified in the following criteria:
- Legality: we ensure the compliance with the whole national regulation and the regulation of the countries we work with. We require from our personnel a good praxis of behaviour aligned with rules of professional integrity. Under no circumstances the pursuit of the interest of the O.P. can justify a dishonest conduct.
- Traceability: all of our actions and operations are tracked and adequately recorded. It’s always possible to verify the decisional process, the authorisation process and the performance process.
- Honesty: the cooperation excludes every form of opportunism, both in the internal relationships and in the relationships between the cooperatives and third parties.
- Transparency: our actions are orientated towards honesty and clarity inside our structure and in our relationships. We ensure to be clear about the information who are paramount to correctly understand our company and our activity.
- Privacy: We ensure the confidentiality of the information in our possession. In compliance with the regulation on personal data we refrain from searching reserved data by any illegal mean.
- Equality: we operate impartially, we operate with impartiality, avoiding preferential treatment in all circumstances.
- Human Resources: We value the people that work with and for us. We ensure the quality of life in our workplace, promoting safety, personal development and professional development.
- Quality: We ensure the highest quality standard in the provision of services, with full respect of the environment and of the human resources. This can happen thanks to our Quality System based on planning, preventing and monitoring.
- Social responsibility: We are committed to searching a continuous balance between the various interests concerned in our business. These interests are economic development, social welfare, environmental respect, culture of safety and risk prevention.
- Territory Safeguard: We are aware of the effects of our activity on the territory. Therefore, we care and work that priceless heritage that is the earth and we transform climate issues and environmental challenges into opportunities for an equal and sustainable supply chain for everyone.
- Collaboration: We are characterized by a strong inclusion of stakeholders in our decisions that regard them. We are always open to dialogue with our and we promote active involvement of our partners.
- Mutuality: we create the conditions for the participation of members in the decisions of their competence to be informed. We also ensure the entirety of the information, the transparency and accessibility of data and documentation.
