From 17 July, the initiative will be repeated for the second year. “A break with fruit: how good it does you!”of OP JOINFRUIT with FAI – Castello della Manta to promote the fruits of Piedmontese art and territory
From 17 July to 29 August Piedmontese culture and traditions meet in an event to be savoured at the FAI – CASTELLO DELLA MANTA: every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, the visit to the wonderful historical and artistic site of the FAI in the Saluzzo area, will be accompanied by a special aperitif in the garden, including tastings of seasonal local fruit offered by the JOINFRUIT Producers' Organisation of Verzuolo (CN).
The initiative is born from the firm intention of OP JOINFRUIT to promote conscious consumption of fresh, seasonal fruit, while simultaneously valuing local production excellences: “The fruit tells the story and culture of our region. – states Bruno Sacchi, Director of Joinfruit - representing a defining value of this area of Piedmont, which is extraordinarily suited to fruit cultivation. We are enthusiastic about being able to repeat an initiative that allows us to bring consumers closer to a heritage that deserves to be tasted, known and appreciated: we thank the FAI-Castello della Manta for wanting to host an event where the combination of art and agriculture becomes an expression of the culture of these Piedmontese territories.”
Visitors to Manta Castle can enjoy fruit-based treats during weekend garden aperitifs, receiving a mixed package which, depending on the period, will be composed of apricots, peaches, plums and the very special Ramassin, small and sweet plums cultivated in the Bronda Valley and recognised with the Slow Food Presidium. In addition, the link between fruit and local culture will be further highlighted through narratives that will guide visitors on a journey through memory and local traditions, enriched by delicious and simple fruit-based recipes: the insights will be accessible through a computer link by means of QR codes.
On the evenings of 17 and 30 July, from 6.30 p.m. to 8 p.m., aperitifs in the picturesque setting of the Manta Castle garden will be enriched with tastings and guided fruit and wine pairings taken care of by the San Silvestro Wines of Novello (CN).
While waiting for aperitivo at 6.30 PM, the Sister Arch, string trio made up of three female students from the Ghedini Conservatory of Cuneo, Eleonora Cavigliasso (first violin), Ilaria Bogetti (second violin) and Samantha Boglio (cello), will perform a classical repertoire ranging from Pachelbel's Canon and Schubert's Serendade to Brahms' Hungarian Dance or Beethoven's Minuet in G.
The appointments with music will continue on the evenings of the 31 July and 7 August, 6.30 p.m. to 8 p.m., with two appointments of the 21st Six Ways Festival.
On 31 July it will be the turn of Kreisel Trio, Daniele Ligios (guitar), Matteo Dal Maso (clarinet), Emanuele Groppo (flute) with music by Otte, Rossini, Kreutzer, Scholz, Paganini, Seminara.
On August 7th, you will be able to hear the Duo La Nuit, Daniele Ligios (guitar) and Marta Cellini (vocals) who will be performing music by Schubert, Monteverdi, Mozart, Lorca, and Villa-Lobos.
The initiative “A break with fruit: what good you're doing yourself!” it is produced by JOINFRUIT OP with the contribution of the European Union, to highlight the commitment of its producers, who for years have been striving to achieve excellent quality standards. The OP Director adds: “Agriculture is an art and our organisation is committed to valuing the work of producers, optimising every agronomic intervention with respect for the land and the satisfaction of the end consumer.”
