“A fruit break: what good you do for yourself!”: the collaboration between Joinfruit and FAI – Castello della Manta is back for the third year.

Castello della Manta

Following the success of the first two editions, the evenings dedicated to art and agriculture are resuming at Castello della Manta with the initiative A break with fruit: what good it does you! of the OP Joinfruit with the FAI – Manta Castle

From 16 July to 15 August every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, the visit to the wonderful historical-artistic site of the FAI in the Saluzzo area, will be accompanied by a special aperitif in the garden, including samples of local seasonal fruit offered by JOINFRUIT: apricots, peaches, plums and the very special Ramassin, small, sweet plums grown in the Bronda Valley and recognised by the Slow Food Presidium. Furthermore, Joinfruit's tribute this year is enhanced by the new line of juices Joinfruit Fresh, made exclusively from fresh, seasonal fruit cold-pressed using the 100% method, a process that preserves the fruit’s natural flavour as well as its valuable nutrients, such as vitamins, minerals and antioxidants.

The initiative, made possible by the support of UNAPROA and the contribution of the European Union, born from the desire to promote conscious consumption of fresh, seasonal fruit and, at the same time, to bring people closer to the fruits of Piedmontese art and territory.“In our journey as PO - comment Bruno Sacchi, Director of Joinfruit We always strive to envision a better future for the coming generations by implementing projects that incorporate circularity and contribute to the well-being of consumers and the community we belong to. Fruit represents an identity value of this area of Piedmont, which is exceptionally suited to fruit farming, and the initiative with the FAI – Castello della Manta, whom we thank for believing in our proposal, allows us to highlight our connection with people and the territory.”

On the evening of Friday 29th July, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m, Along with fruit, wine also takes to the stage: it will be the winery Sansilvestro of Novello (CN) to accompany visitors on a journey of taste, with tastings and guided wine and fruit pairings. “This is the second year we've taken part in the ‘A break with fruit: how good it does you!’ initiative. adds Paolo Sartirano, CEO of the Sansilvestroand we are honoured to be able to present our wines paired with another excellence from our region, fruit, thus creating an unusual encounter, ready to surprise the audience present with harmony and pleasantness.”

The fruit and wine tasting will be accompanied by the notes of the Sister Arch, string trio who will present a captivating repertoire of modern music reinterpreted in a classical style. Booking is required to participate. write an e-mail to faimanta@fondoambiente.it.

The appointments with music will continue on the evenings of the 10 and 11 August when the Castle Garden will host two concerts of Festival Six Ways – 2022 editiona reading-concert by Duo Valentina Diana – Enrico Negro (reciting voice, singing, guitar) on 10 August and the Duo Giulio De Felice – Cristiano Arata (19th-century flute, Romantic guitar) the evening of 11 August.

To further emphasise its connection to the region, JOINFRUIT also launches the social initiative “Tell a story with your memories related to the taste of fruit”:“Fruit is an integral part of the culture, history, and memories of these Piedmontese territories - concludes Bruno SacchiAnd that is why we invite those who visit the Castle to let themselves be transported by the taste of fruit into the world of memory, recalling that special memory linked to its flavour, creating a story on their social media profile and tagging @joinfruit, to allow us to share this memory with all our followers and build a fruit storytelling narrated by those who consume it.”
