The Producers' Organisation Joinfruit of Verzuolo (CN) enthusiastically announces a new, significant step in its path of aggregation and development, welcoming among its members the Cooperativa Agricola Biodiffusione Canavese di Mazzè (TO). The entry of the cooperative consolidates Joinfruit's aggregative vision, which sees in the’integration of competences and in the pooling of talents the key to solid, shared growth for the benefit of the entire supply chain.
The Cooperativa Agricola Biodiffusione Canavese was established in the Canavese area with the aim of channelling fruit and vegetable production in the area and supplying products to the Biodiffusion Srl, a family business founded in the 1980s by Domenico Morizio who, with pioneering vision, decided to bet on the quality of organic products grown by his farm by starting the marketing of vegetables and, later, the export of organic kiwis to Switzerland. Over the years, the company has specialised in the supply to mass catering (school, hospital) and commercial (airports, petrol stations and railway stations), also developing a specific channel for restaurants called “Street Market” and realising a state-of-the-art plant dedicated to the Fourth Range for mass catering. The subsequent foundation of the Cooperativa Agricola Biodiffusione Canavese, which today counts 23 horticultural and fruit producer members (from vegetables in general - excluding only a few typical southern vegetables such as turnip greens - to watermelons, strawberries, kiwis, apples, pears, peaches, apricots and plums), allowed shortening the supply chain, making in-house and local production a strategic asset of interest to customers.
Marco Morizio, CEO of Cooperativa Agricola Biodiffusione Canavese, comments: “The meeting with Joinfruit was born out of territorial needs: they are an established reality in the Cuneo area, we used to buy apples from them for catering, and one thing led to another. We shared our experiences, I understood the potential of the PO and we had a vision of what we could do together. Joinfruit, thanks to its organised structure, is transferring know-how to us, is helping us to achieve some process and quality standards. We needed to meet such an interlocutor who would give us a quantum leap.”
For its part, Joinfruit has long pursued a path of aggregation that aims precisely at creating synergies between the skills of each member, convinced that growth through operational and strategic collaboration.
Bruno Sacchi, Director of Joinfruit underlines the value of the operation: “Aggregation is not just an expansion for us, but a enrichment of experience and know-how and the sharing of a continuously improving organisational model. When cooperatives with different histories and specialisations come together, the result is a mutual enhancement that improves the overall quality of the offer. The entry of the Cooperativa Agricola Biodiffusione Canavese into Joinfruit will bring tangible benefits for everyone: they will be able to take full advantage of the opportunities offered by the structure of a Producers‘ Organisation, and we will be able to ’enter” a new sector for our group, exploring the Ho.Re.Ca. and collective catering channels." This new union represents a positive example of growth based on the synergy of reciprocal competences, but certainly also consolidates Joinfruit's commitment to ensuring maximum benefit
