Gender equality: OP Joinfruit confirms and strengthens UNI/PdR 125:2022 certification for 2025-2026 with a strategic communication plan

The Producers' Organisation Joinfruit of Verzuolo (CN), certified for gender equality in 2024 by CSQA, confirms the commitment for the period 2025-2026, consolidating the path started and expanding it, thanks to a strategic communication plan designed to disseminate internally and externally the PO's activities aimed at building a fair and inclusive culture and working environment.

During the first year of certification, Joinfruit took the first steps along this path of change, laying the foundations for a more articulated strategy. In fact, after an initial approach phase, the Piedmontese PO began to translate the principles and requirements of the standard into concrete actions within the organisation, initiating good practices to make gender equality a living, operational reality, integrated into processes, language and corporate culture. The new communication plan is testimony to this vision.

“For us, it is crucial to convey transparently, both internally and externally, what the company is doing in this area. - comment Bruno Sacchi, Director of Joinfruit. “For this, we have worked on all possible communication tools available to our Producers” Organisation: from the internal newsletter to employee training, from visual material in common spaces - to promote inclusive language and raise staff awareness - to the annual report on training activities sent to stakeholders, press releases, social channels and the revision of the textual content of company websites, brochures and all communication materials. The aim of the strategic communication plan is to share our progress, but also to disseminate good practices and promote a culture of respect and inclusion." In this framework, a crucial role was played by from the annual training meeting on the subject,made byMAN AND ENVIRONMENT, consulting and training services benefit company. The event was attended by all Joinfruit professionals who carry out administrative and support activities. The training provided an opportunity to explore some of the key issues related to gender equality and inclusion: we talked about cognitive biases, inferences e distortions such as the’Horn effect and the’herd effect, particularly focusing on the value of the language and words that one chooses to communicate one's thoughts. Finally, the violence in the workplace, specifically mobbing and stalking, and how to produce a concrete cultural change.

The confirmation of UNI/PdR 125:2022 certification, coupled with the communication strategy and targeted training, testifies to Joinfruit's commitment to translating equality principles into lasting cultural and operational changes within the PO.

Gender equality is a strategic pillar of our future” concludes Sacchi. “This is why we are determined to continue along this path, so as to represent a model of inclusion and respect that can bring value not only to our company, but to the entire fruit and vegetable chain. With this goal in mind, next year we will devote special attention to the management of parenthood, and in particular to equal leave, the post-congestion reintegration plan, the engagement plan for parents, and the maternity management plan, pre, during and post, also aiming to implement a specific corporate welfare for those who become parents.”
