Agri, from Latin “field”, field, is the expression of the importance of supporting local farms always felt by Laura and Alessandra Damiani, a conviction that led them to take a historic group of producers in the Marche region by the hand and involve them in a valuable aggregation project.
And then there is Munda, from “world”, from the Latin for clean, pure, a name that evokes the vision of an ideal world, in which agriculture is an act of pure love for nature and human beings. A love expressed daily in the field by a group of people who share the same values, the same vision, and the same approach to the land: a cooperation between producers, united to undertake a journey together. valorisation of the Marche agricultural supply chain.
The name Agrimunda it was declined in the feminine because the two creators of the project, who hold the leadership, wish to transfer the female vision to the Cooperative's path. A female imprinting understood in the best possible sense, which does not want to diminish the presence of the men who are in Agrimunda nor compete with the male world, but rather aspires to enrich it with a touch of uniqueness: women's singular and precious ability to balance even antithetical concepts, such as innovation combined with tradition, delicacy with strength, attention to detail with speed of reaction, courage with sensitivity, and pragmatism with dreams.
“Agrimunda was born from a dream – tells Laura Damiani, project driver and President of Agrimunda – the ability to unite the forces of those who have always farmed, believing in what they do, believing in farming that brings benefits to the land, to the people who look after it, and to those who will eat their produce.”
Created in September 2022, Agrimunda it is a cooperative agricultural company characterised by an important aspiration: “to support its founding members and to welcome those who, with the same values, will one day wish to join., continues the President Laura Damiani.
Values that, thanks to a good friendship with Stefania Mana, Commercial of OP Joinfruit and colleague of the’National Association of Fruit and Vegetable Women, Laura and Alessandra Damiani realised they were sharing with a large organisation of Piedmontese producers: Joinfruit.
A true meeting of minds, which has also been fuelled by the activities of coaching aimed at spreading OP culture that Joinfruit care thanks to the collaboration with UNAPROA, and brought Joinfruit e Agrimunda to choose to make this new journey together.
“Agrimunda is a Cooperative established with the aim of entering the organised system - comment Bruno Sacchi, Director of Joinfruit – to provide an answer to the region, especially at such a complex historical moment. When we started talking about it with Laura and Alessandra, we immediately perceived that we shared the same goal, that of lending a hand to the producers, but above all the same perspective: the spark that ignited professional empathy, and human empathy, was the common need to set aside the numbers and look forward, to a path to be taken together that could bring value to the Marche supply chain. And to do this, a cooperative on the territory was necessary. As Joinfruit, we are happy to be able to welcome Agrimunda among our members, to accompany them on a journey that aims to oversee primary production, enhance the product, all the way to enhancing commercialisation.”
“Joinfruit's payoff is ‘Unity makes fruit’" - concludes Laura Damiani – and with Agrimunda today it will also be doing vegetables, and a world of other projects that we will share, with the certainty that they will bring benefits to the entire sector.”
