L’unione fa la forza, e l’aggregazione di valore: la cooperativa valdostana Cofruits si unisce a Joinfruit

Cofruits si unisce all'OP Joinfruit

THE O.P. Joinfruit of Verzuolo (CN) announces a new milestone in its path of growth and strengthening: the Valle d'Aosta cooperative Cofruits joined the Piedmontese organisation, with the aim of consolidating a value-creating path of aggregation.

In fact, this union does not represent a numerical expansion or a mere formal accession, but rather a meeting of shared values and perspectives that in a synergetic manner can promote the valorisation of their respective agricultural sectors: together, Joinfruit and Cofruits are committed to pursuing a primary objective, which is the production of superior quality products - in particular apples, the first product of the two consortia - through a route that extends even further and embraces the protection and preservation of the territory, respect for the environmental and social sustainability and the putting people at the centre, in this case the associated producers, who are the beating heart of the two entities.

Our PO chose the phrase ‘Unity is fruit’ as its payoff’ - comment Bruno Sacchi, Director of Joinfruit - which for us is not just a slogan, but the expression of our commitment to pursue a value aggregation, which translates into implementing concrete projects, planning shared strategies, and supporting our members in all phases of their work, with the ultimate goal of enhancing their production and contributing to the development of their territories. A vision that Cofruits has shared and pursued for many years; ours is a meeting made up of common values and objectives.”

With over half a century of experience (Cofruits was founded in Saint-Pierre in 1964), over 170 farms associated Valle d'Aosta, 15,000 quintals of apples produced in 2024 of which 20% for processing and 4 sales outlets in Valle D'Aosta that offer a selection of most of the products of the agricultural sector and typical Aosta Valley handicrafts, the Valle d'Aosta cooperative recognises its strength precisely in the producer members, These are all well-established local companies that produce quality raw materials using the most respectful techniques of the natural balance of the mountains. “We are very proud to have joined the Joinfruit family. - explains Renzo Bionaz, President of CofruitsThis union has opened the door to a reality that we did not know and that brings benefits to the Cooperative at all levels: to members, to the of our products, which is our mission, to our technical and commercial expertise”.

A philosophy that matches that of Joinfruit, which in recent years has been committed not only to safeguarding primary production and enhancing the work of its member producers, but also to launching environmentally sustainable activities, In this way, they are able to contribute to the well-being of the territories in which they operate, both from an environmental point of view (use of recyclable packaging, increase in energy production from renewable sources, reduction in water consumption) and from a social point of view (collaborations with local social cooperatives that deal with the employment of disadvantaged people, UNI/PdR 125 certification for gender equality, legality rating and code of ethics), seeking in this way to also contribute to the well-being of the territories in which the member companies operate.

“We are convinced that the synergy created with Cofruits - concludes Sacchi - will allow both of our entities to unlock new opportunities, strengthening our commitment to innovation, sustainable growth and positive cooperation. This is a further step in our growth as a PO and in building a path of value aggregation that we intend to pursue with determination also in the near future.”
